All I Want Is My Two Front Teeth

Well, I know I have not been blogging in a long time, but what better way to start back. We just pulled Lindsey's second front tooth. She has lost both of the teeth within a week of each other. She waited until they were loose as they would get. She is happier now that both of them are out, because it will make it easier for her to eat. They were hurting her pretty bad.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!!!!

This past Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch with the Meredith family. Jill and I have kind of taken Lindsey and Cadyn since they were little and it was time to get Camryn and Kaylin in on the tradition. So, after afternoon naps we loaded up and headed to Pea Ridge. It was fun. We got to go to a back field where you could pick your own pumpkin. There were so many pumpkins the kids did not know which one to pick.

When we first got there they gave us a wagon and some clippers to cut the pumpkin vine. The kids liked the wagon ride and boy and I glad we had that wagon. I was a long walk and it would have been a longer walk having to carry the babies.

We all were like little kids in a candy shop, "Which one do we choose" Finally we got our pumpkins and head out. Kaylin was following along behind everyone. She thought she was just as big, until she would get tangled up in the pumpkin vines. Lindse had to go back and help her find her way out. Some of plants were as big as she was, as you can see.

They had a little area set up to where you could take pictures, we both sat down and our family pictures taken. Below is ours

After you paid for you pumpkins you got to go on a free hayride. The kids were excited about that and Camryn finally got to ride with the tractor. The boy loves tractors. He rode on the trailer with all of us but that was good enough for him. Kaylin loved it. She would stand up at the back of the trailor and just lean against the wall. She thought she was big stuff.

We were the first ones on the trailer. Dusty and Jill had to get Camryn to get on the trailor instead of getting on the tractor itself.

After we had our feel of pumpkins and hayrides we went to eat. It was a fun family outing and we will probably go back as long as they have the pumpkin patch.

Cave Springs Days

During Cave Springs days, Lindsey was in the Tiny Tot Contest. She did not win the title but she did a good job. They got all the contestants on the stage and then read over their bio's. She had fun. Then all the contestants got to ride in the parade on a float. I think she was more excited about that than the contest itself. Ever since then she has asked when she gets to ride in another parade.
After the parade we headed to Elkins for Cannon's 1st birthday party. It was fun until Lindsey and another little boy got hurt riding Cannon's new wagon down the hill into the barb wire fence. All wounds have healed and it is laughable now. One thing is for sure we will never forget Cannon's 1st birthday: a wagon wreck and then the Hogs got wrecked by the Longhorns.
It was a busy, but fun day.

Here she is upon the stage. She was the tallest kid up there. She looked so big.

Giving a wave to the crowd!!

Silver Dollar City

Jill and I decided to take Lindsey and Cadyn one last time to Silver Dollar City before the weather was to cold, last Saturday. What made it even better, was Jill had gotten some free passes from a family friend and since Lindsey and I already had season passes, it was going to cost us nothing to get in. Jill's mom kept Camryn and Aunt Jill kept Kaylin for me. So it was just the four of us. We only rode one wet ride and Lindsey and I rode Powder Keg. Most of the time we stayed in the area where most of the kiddy rides are. I think they both had fun but by the end of the day they were ready to go. Maybe we will all go back during the Christmas time.

This is a catepiller ride in the Kiddy area. They thought they were big stuff because they go to stand in line by themselves and ride by themselves. Kaylin and Camryn would have loved it, but there is that "standing in line waiting our turn and not wanting to get off"thing. Jill and I were glad we did not bring them this time. Maybe next year.

The Jailbirds
As we were leaving we passed by the Silver Dollar City jail. We tought it would be funny get a picture. We should have put them there earlier in the day and come back and get them when it was time to go. Just kidding.

Tailgator

Last Friday night was the annual tailgator at Lindsey's school. So Jill and I loaded up all the kids and went. They had popcorn, snowcones, popcicle, blow up jumpers, rock wall, face panting, and a whole lot more. It was fun to watch the kids have fun. When we first got there we immediately got in line for the jumping things. It was a good idea because by the time we were through the lines were so long, it would have been a long wait. After they played we got in line for the Chick-fil-A dinner. Then the kids wanted popcor and popcicles. By the time we did all that the little kids were ready to go. It was gettin close bedtime. It was fun, we will probably go again next year.

Lindsey and Cadyn go the picture taken with the Chick-fil-A cow.

Lindsey sliding down

Kaylin taking her turn. She had fun. Afterwards she had the hard time of learning you had to get off.

The two "brats" confined to the strollers. They enjoyed jumping on the blow ups, but just could not grasp you had to wait in line for your turn. They would throw a pitching fit. Jill and I used all the energy we had to contain them. So they got to sit and watch until Lindsey and Cadyn were done.

Lindsey wanted to climb the rock wall. She did not get very far, but I am proud of her for wanting to try. Way to go Lindsey!!!!

County Fair

Last Friday night we went to the County Fair. It has been an annual event since Lindsey was born. NO, we did not kill any baby chicks this year. For those who know about how Lindsey killed a baby chick one year, Kaylin was nice to them. We met the Merediths at McDonald's in Centerton, ate dinner and headed to the fair. It was fun to watch the kids ride the rides but it did seem a little short on rides for kids this year. While we were there big black clouds loomed towards the south, yep it rained on us. Not for long, we did not get to wet. But before we could make it back to our cars a couple of hours later it was raining pretty good and we were all soaked by the time we got back to the cars.

Getting tickets for the rides.

Cadyn and Lindsey going down the big slide. Cadyn was a little nervous at first then he got the courage up to go down the slide. They were having fun.

Lindsey doing a big wheelie on the motorcycle ride.

Kaylin did get to ride one ride. Jeff took her on the merry-go-round. She had fun. Next year she will get to ride more.
Also, while we were there we ran into Lindsey's friend Erika and her parents. Lindsey and Erika have known each other since they were babies. They have been together in the same day care until they went to Kindergarten last year. We still keep in touch with Erika, and months can go by until they see each other again and when they do it is like they see each other day at school. They don't miss a beat. I think they will be friends for a long time. It was good seeing you Erika, Natalie and Brian.

Gettin' Ready for School

We were messing around in Lindsey's room one night and we had out this little backpack she had gotten a few years ago. It is so little and cute. Kaylin had an interest in it, so I thought I would put it on her. As you can see in the picture the backpack is just as big as she is. I told her to go show Daddy and that is just what she did. She marched herself down the hallway to our bedroom to show Daddy. It was so cute I just thought I would share. She thought she was big stuff.

This will probably be our first day of school picture. Just she will have on regular clothes. Oh, yes the nigh night will be there. Just kidding, I hope we have broken the nigh night habit by then.
